Response to Let's see some portraits

from Tom Smart (tsmart@rconnect.com)

Here is a picture of my daughter doing her homework. I used a 20- 35/2.8L Canon lens on my EOS-5 body. I used the lens at 20mm and moved in close to accentuate the homework page and the pencil in order to give it primary importance. The light was natural sunlight coming in from her left through a picture window. I also took another exposure with fill-flash at -1 stop, but it looked too artificial.
