Discrepencies between K2000 & K2500

Hello out there-- I own a K2000 and my musical colaborator has a K2500. We have run into some frustrating problems with certain sounds when we put a sequence recorded on my instrument into his. Here is a summary of each: 1) When we laod a sequence to, say, bank #400, a sound that loads in as #412 will show up on that track as sound #14. In other words, no matter what bank we load the song into, it "clips" the first digit off of some (not all!) of the program numbers. 2) We have one sound in particular (a sound called "Dancing Bass" created byt the very generous and talented Brian Cowell) that changes very noticeably when we transfer it from the K2000 to the K2500. This is a pulsing sound but the pulse and even some of the timbres change when we load it into my partner's machine. I contacted the Kurweil technical support people and they said to check that the MIDI "Program Change Type" was set to "Extended". We checked this out and it desn't seem to be the source of the problem. Anybody have any ideas? Thanks -- Bob Parker
