Response to Konica IR , no filter as a portrait film?

I have a couple of shots indoors without filter, with and without flash. Some portaits (head shots) with flash came out yuck, very grainy and contrasty. Some non flash, no filter 'enviromental' portraits came out real nice... I'll try to add one here
