Robotron

Hi. I'm having a few problems recording a robotron inp. I know how to record inps, I've done it for other games, but robotron loads up fine, then it says "Factory Settings Restored" and just hangs there. I'm using mmame v34 (also tried mame32). Do I have a bad rom or something? TBtw, playback of other robotron inps works fine.
