odd hum when sample source is plugged in to k2000

from matt wright (abstain21@aol.com)
I just moved into a new place, and I hadn't used k2000 for sampling in a few weeks. Now, all of a sudden, when i connect a source to the 1/4" input on the sampler, i get audio in one channel, and a loud ground hum-type noise in the other channel. I thought it might be the rca cables coming from the source, so I plugged them into my 4 track to see if I got the noise there, but it was completely clean. I turned the volume all the way down on my monitoring system, and on the k2000, and was still getting the noise. I sampled a sound, just to see if the noise came through in playback, and it did not. As long as the cable was unplugged from the sampler input, there was no noise. Anybody have any ideas?
