Does anyone know this poem?

When I was a little girl, my mother used to read poetry to me and one in particular has stuck in my head. It is something about a little child whose parent dies and that child decides to mail himself to Heaven to his parent. The child puts stamps on his forehead and heads out the door only to be run over by a buggy or wagon in the street and dies. The child has unintentionally mailed himself to Heaven. I don't know the author or title. Can anyone help? It is an older poem, at least 50 years old or more. Thank you, Diana
