Premiere 5.1 vs EditDV

I am using a Mac G3 and am about to purchase a FireWire card. One
company sells the FireMax:C with Premiere for $499 while Radius (or
whatever they are calling themselves these days) is selling THEIR
FireWire card with Edit DV for $699. Does anyone have any experience
with either of these cards? How about Edit DV? I live in LA, the film
capitol of America and no stores have a demo of Edit
