Response to ilford 3200/Kodak Xtol

from John Hicks / John's Camera Shop (jbh@magicnet.net)
OK gents, here goes....

D3200 in Xtol 1:1 12'/75F EI 1250; very normal negs, normal contrast. D3200 in Xtol 1:1 15'/75F EI 1600; this is also a "real" speed but the gamma's a tad high, about one paper grade. *This works great!* Actually I'm going to shoot it at EI 2000. Printed my first negs from EI 1600 tonight. Sharpness and grain are _significantly_ better than TMZ in anything I've tried. For me, TMZ is obsolete.
